BELT OF TRUTH

Paul talks about the law that fights against God’s law – how can you
fight this law and win the battle?

In what ways would having the belt of truth help in these situations?

MOMENT OF TRUTH

Philippians 4: 6-9 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.”

Right after this passage says, ‘God’s peace will guard your hearts and minds’ it gives a list of things to think about. Does this list reflect how you think? In what ways does it or doesn’t?

How do you think your thoughts affect how you see truth?

What do these verses show you about God?

So the question for the day is, "How does it make you feel when you hear “The God of peace will be with you”? Answer this in the comments!

This is soooo true. I use to be the worst at getting anxious about things. I realize now that my anxiety took over my every move and I would literally get myself all worked up over things I could not change. Now, I see my anxiety, stress, worry or what ever coming on and I go straight to prayer and It is so cool the way God calms me. It's as if He wraps me up in His loving embrace and says "May the peace of God be with you today"
Take what ever you have to God and He will deliver the Truth and calm our worldly ways!
Oh yes, I still get anxious! But now, God has prepared me for what to do when I am weak. He is my strength!!!

oh it feels great wen you have come of a sickining day and God just sits with you and you can just let it all out like his arms are holding or grasping yours !!!

Well, it feels great! I mean, this world is so full of caos and disorder, ts nice to know that our God, a God of love, power and peace, is there for us and will help us through any prblems that we encounter; be it major or minor.

Ps. I'd like to apologize for my last comment; I was having an of day and was hoping for a question that would help a little, and since it didn't I kind of shot the question in the head. l8er.

one last thing, is anyone else having problems w/ their google accounts? 'Cause mine is driving me crazy

I agree with Jeff on this one, the world IS full of chaos and it IS nice to know that our God is there to help us with everthing we go through.

Having God in our life allows us to have an "inner peace" with certain situations because if it is in God's will he will work it out.

Honestly, I don't know how people who don't know God can make it through any day. Over the past year, my family has gone through tough times, like being out of a job for 9 months, moving from a place we had lived all of our lives to Palm Coast, being down to your last dollars before you ran out of money, but through it all, I knew God was in control. He brought us to a great church and provided everything we NEEDED. Phil 4:13 is so true...I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I saw a bumper sticker once that said..."If God is your co-pilot, change seats". Life will throw curve balls at you, but they aren't so bad when you give them to God.

This one is for ME! I feel like I am ALWAYS worked up on something, worrying, or getting anxious! God knows the ending and he knows the reasons for EVERYTHING that is going on in your life. I won't see my dad for three weeks at a time now because of work issues. But I know God knows why this is happening. I feel like everything seems to be going wrong, but God knows what is next. It could get worse before it gets better , but I am going to take it one day at a time and know "Nothing is impossible when God is on your side!"
