THE MORAL CODE
Below are two translations of Matthew 5:6. As you look at both translations what do you think this verse says is righteousness?
Matthew 5:6 niv “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.”
Matthew 5:6 message “You’re blessed when you’ve worked up a good appetite for God. He’s food and drink in the best meal you’ll ever eat.”
Righteousness is a pretty big word. What do you think it means?
Would you say you hunger and thirst for doing what makes you right with God?
Righteousness means you are living in a way to become right with God. In what ways are you seeking to be more like God or what ways would you like to become more like God?
So the question for the day is, "In what ways can you change your life to become more like God?" Answer in the comments section!

Some ways that I can change my life to be more like God is by, trusting in him. Or worshiping him for dying for us and blessing us for what he gave us . Also by being more holier, humble, caring, generous, patient, loving, and faithful. Also , like we have been talking about at church, being more honest to everything and righteous. For example, being right with God and not being fake. Lastly, reading the bible to guide you through God's word , which helps you what God wants you to do or be like. That can change you to be more like Christ. Wow, that was really long.
Exelent question you guys. I think I agree with churchgirl on this one; especially when it comes to the fakes of the world. So often it seems our "brother and sisters in Christ" are just in it because its what they grew up doing, not because they actualy belief any of it, and its those people who harm the rest of us by showing the world that they aren't any different then your average joe. To be more like God we must cast asside what this world calls 'cool', or what they say is 'normal for someone our age' and put our faith in Jesus. I dont think that just because we're teens we have to follow the crowd and be rebellious, fall into bad and often illegal habits; but I also know that its hard not to. By puting our trust in God and leaning on Him in times of trouble we can resist the poison of this world.

LOVING HIM! He tells us He loves us through the Bible and how He works in our lives. We don't deserve it, but he definetely deserves an "I LOVE YOU"
